SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATED WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL IMPACTING
NORTHEASTERN SOUTH CAROLINA...THE EASTERN HALF OF NORTH
CAROLINA...AND PARTS OF SOUTHEAST VIRGINIA. THIS RAINFALL IS
COINCIDENT WITH A QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT STRETCHING FROM JUST OFF
THE NORTH CAROLINA COAST THROUGH THE SOUTHEAST AND ALONG THE GULF
COAST. A BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO OCCURING
ALONG THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS FAR NORTHERN FLORIDA.

MONDAY THE RISK OF HEAVY RAINFALL SHIFTS NORTHWARD ALONG THE
MID-ATLANTIC COAST FROM SOUTHEAST VIRGINIA TO SOUTHERN NEW
JERSEY...WHERE 3 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED. DANGEROUS
FLOODING AND FLASH FLOODING WILL CONTINUE TO BE A THREAT THROUGH
THE WEEKEND.
