AT 400 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADARS AND
SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATED THAT WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL
CONTINUED TO SPREAD NORTHWARD THROUGH NORTHEASTERN NORTH
CAROLINA...SOUTHEAST VIRGINIA...AND INTO SOUTHERN MARYLAND AND THE
DELMARVA PENINSULA. THE HEAVIEST BANDS OF RAIN WERE OCCURING ALONG
AND TO THE NORTH OF A QUASI-STATIONARY FRONTAL BOUNDARY DRAPED
OVER THE TOP OF HERMINE AND OUT INTO THE ATLANTIC.

SLOWLY NORTHWARD THIS WEEKEND ALONG THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST. EVEN
THOUGH THE HIGHEST TOTALS SHOULD REMAIN OFFSHORE...AN ADDITIONAL 2
TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...IS STILL
POSSIBLE FROM NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA TO SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY.
LESSER AMOUNTS OF GENERALLY UP TO AN INCH OR TWO ARE EXPECTED
FARTHER NORTH ALONG THE NORTHERN NEW JERSEY AND LONG ISLAND COASTS
INTO MONDAY. FLOODING AND LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING REMAINS A
THREAT THROUGH THE WEEKEND PARTICULARLY FOR THOSE PLACES ALONG THE
MID-ATLANTIC COAST.
