The low pressure center is expected to remain over the coastal
waters of the Mid-Atlantic through Wednesday, continuing the
pattern of rainy, breezy, and below-average temperatures. As the
low shifts further northward, onshore flow ahead of the system may
bring an additional 1-2 inches of rain along the I-95 corridor.
The low will begin to pull away from the coast Wednesday night
into Thursday as high pressure builds over the Mid-Atlantic region
and a cold front approaches from the northwest. Strong onshore
flow could lead to coastal flooding along portions of the East
Coast, so stay in touch with your local NWS office for updates.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1100 PM EDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
